‘Cause that’s how my brain has felt about blogging for the last couple of weeks.
I thought the alphabet blogging would help spark ideas…buuuut, not so much. I blame it on how crazy my life has been lately.
Mid-September, my brother-in-law got married down in Missouri, so we spent a week down there. Afterward, my sister decided to come stay with us for a month. On the first of October, two anthologies I had short stories in were published. I’m scrambling to finish some editing and a short story for quickly-upcoming deadlines. And in mid-October, we will be going down to Missouri again for my sister-in-law’s wedding.
Hmm. Maybe the title of this post should have been ‘Excuses’. 🙂
Mind, I’m not complaining. I like it when I’m busy. But when life happens…sometimes blogging falls by the wayside, which is totally how it should be.
BUT, I’m on top of things now, and caught up (mostly). I’m writing blog posts ahead of time, so hopefully I won’t fall behind again for a little while.
Thanks for being patient. (And for putting up with a post that isn’t really much about writing.) 😉
Congrats on the anthologies, Heather! Post the links…
I’m so sorry life lately has been so overwhelming. We all get exterior events we can’t prevent. But it seems you got through it and was able to post about it with an informative calm. I don’t think these were excuses. Just outside forces beyond your control. I may have said E was for events not excuses. You were able to make a reasonable post from it. Hope things are better now.

Coming up empty is a part of the writer’s life. Nice that you’re modeling getting back in the swing, too. 🙂
