Writing Goals Again

Despite my claims to the contrary, I think I must be slightly OCD. What Ralene described in her post about the crispness of beginnings, and liking to start new things at the beginning of the week/month/year…that’s totally me. It bothers me to start something new in the middle of a week, especially.
Or maybe that’s my own special brand of procrastination. Yeeeeah, I might go with that one… 😉
Anyway, here are my writing goals for the year:
* edit and send to publishers both Forged Steel and my co-authored steampunk novel Falls the Shadow.
* work more on my Underworld Mythos series, especially finishing and editing Book 2, Burnt Silver.
* work on a series of stories for a new steampunk world…I have a cool plan for these, if it works out.
*Work on getting my personal blog up and going, as well as a few other marketing-type things. This is pretty low on my list since I don’t really have anything to buy, and therefore nothing to market, but I want the groundwork done for when I do start publishing stuff.
Here’s wishing everyone good luck in this new year!

About H. A. Titus

H. A. Titus is usually found with her nose in a book or spinning story-worlds in her head. Her love affair with fantasy began at age twelve, when her dad handed her The Lord of the Rings after listening to it on tape during a family vacation. Her stories have been published in Digital Dragon Magazine, Residential Aliens Magazine, and four anthologies: Alternative Witness; Avenir Eclectia Volume 1; The Tanist's Wife and Other Stories; and Different Dragons Volume II. In December 2013, her short story "Dragon Dance" won Honorable Mention in a Writers of the Future contest. She lives on the shores of Lake Superior with her meteorologist husband and young son, who do their best to ensure she occasionally emerges into the real world. When she's not writing, she can be found rock-climbing, skiing, or hanging out at her online home, hatitus.wordpress.com.

  1. It’s great to have goals! Here’s to moving forward into the new year with others of like mind. I’m so thankful that 2013 brought me into contact with so many fellow believers that enjoy (and write) speculative fiction.
