How’s your writing week going so far?
I spent the first part of this week in bed with some sort of nasty bug, so I have a lot of writing to do starting today. But we got this, right? Right!
With that said, here’s some writing inspiration to kick off our day.
“Do you think it was destiny that brought us together?”
He squinted and, after a thoughtful moment, shook his head. “No. I’m pretty sure it was Cinder.”
― Marissa Meyer, Cress
“Nor had she missed when they zigzagged between levels, even though the building was a standard grid of hallways and stairwells. As if she’d lose her bearings that easily.
She might have been insulted if he wasn’t trying so hard.”
― Sarah J. Maas, Throne of Glass
“One must always be careful of books,” said Tessa, “and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.”
― Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Angel
“Behind every wall and every mirror and every vent, I hear sounds: breathing, rustling, footsteps, and murmurs. I try to tell myself it’s just mice making their nests behind the barriers, but since when do rodents whisper?”
― A.G. Howard, RoseBlood
“ ‘Now that your speech impediment has been rectified, perhaps you might say something. It would be best if it were humorous. I enjoy a good jest.’
‘You are dreadfully rude,’ I said to him.
He sighed. ‘That wasn’t the slightest bit funny.’ ”
― Danielle L. Jensen, Stolen Songbird
Here’s to an inspired and productive week! 🙂
