Refresh

Not much writing going on at present. I’ve had the wonderful privilege of attending our yearly pastor’s conference out in sunny California.

This is one my favorite times as it’s a great opportunity for me to get away with Jesus and spend time with friends I don’t see but once every year or two.

I attend writing retreats or conferences for similar reasons. Not to write, but because we all need to get away to be refreshed and renewed in the “why” of what we do.

Refresh

Jesus often retreated with his disciples for their refreshment, to be challenged to go deeper, or to excite for the future.

I guess I share this today instead of something about writing because maybe there’s someone out there who feels like they’re running on fumes. Maybe you’re stone-walled or stuck.

There’s a difference between writing your way through difficulty and needing a fresh touch from God. If so, you might be trying to fix a spiritual issue with a physical solution.

If that’s the case, go retreat with Jesus for a bit 🙂 Your story can wait.
