Just One More . . .

booksCN_0270It all starts with a word. An insignificant string of letters uttered for human understanding.

That one word easily stretches to a sentence, where form begins to take place.

One sentence flows into another until they fill a page. Characters, dialogue, setting take form.

And page after page links together experiences and plots.

Bit by bit, the story evolves.

Until at last, it reaches a climax and falls to a conclusion. The end.

It started with just one word.

When I get down, when I’m not sure where to go, I need only put my fingers to the keyboard for just one more word. One more word, one more page–piece by pain-staking piece. That’s how great stories come about.
