A Bit Of Poetry

Although you may not know it
by your first passing glance
I  too, know what it’s like
to be with no chance.

I too, have been there, done that
as far as life goes,
and maybe I’m young
But I’ve had me some throes

Just ’cause I’m smiling
Doesn’t mean I don’t fear…
you may have forgotten,
no one knows what is near,

I too, have worries and doubts my friend,
and made some mistakes
but this I know to the end,

I am young but not naive
of life and some if it’s tricks,
and I will continue to say this
until something sticks.

That although you may not see it
by your first judging glance,
I can show you what I know
If you give me a chance.

“Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

Look at the sunnyside of everything and make your optimism come true.

Think only of the best, work only for the best and expect only the best.

Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

Give so much to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

Live in the faith in He who gave His all for you…

Be true to the best, that is in you!”

–Christian D. Larson

About Tymothy Longoria

Tymothy Longoria has been described as a writer with a flair for the dramatic (whether this is true still remains to be seen). He is a fan of all things fantastic, metal music, black t-shirts, and aligns himself with geeks, nerds, and all manner of monsters, and is an ardent, optimistic supporter of his fellow creatives. He has written several short stories for the online macabre zine Underneath The Juniper Tree and in 2012 was awarded Debut Author of the Year by Twisted Core Press for 'Envy', his contribution to the Seven Deadly Sins Anthology. He is currently editing his full-length dark fantasy retelling, Revenants: Book One of The Stories. Fairy tales? If only. Legends will be reborn. Tymothy calls Texas home, where he lives with his wife, two children, and a cat called ThunderCat aka Kitty PawKitty. He is represented by Bree Ogden of Red Sofa Literary.

  1. I stand here with my stories in my hand and my poems dripping from my tongue.
You may not get it but I will always give it, I have been touched by the Hand and I will fear no evil. My life in all it’s disguises all praises to the One who whispers the stories into my heart. Here, let me write that down for you!

Friend Tymothy, you have found your rhythm!
    Blessed be!

  2. Margaret, thank you so much. For this and everything. Continue to sharpen that flint. We have a long way to go still. Though, how exciting is this life?

    Be blessed!
