eBook of Winter now available!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Author Keven Newsome releases eBook edition of Winter

Keven Newsome’s debut novel Winter has been released in downloadable eBook format exclusively through Lulu.com.

NEW ORLEANS – March 8, 2010 – Keven Newsome’s spiritual thriller Winter is now available to the public for eBook download.  It is available exclusively through Lulu.com at http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-book/winter/7381014.  This is a privately sponsored, non-contracted release.

In the spirit of Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker, this story takes you on a thrilling journey through the life of Winter Maessen.  With the pop phenomenon of Twilight sweeping our nation, Winter is more timely than ever.  Its sound Christian teaching and dark undertones will bridge the gap between Twilight fans and people of faith.

Winter Maessen, defiant, withdrawn, and Goth, gives herself more completely to God than anything in her entire life. It soon becomes apparent that her faith is no longer ordinary. The strange visions, premonitions, and voices that suddenly come to her daily can only be described as one thing… prophecy.

As a freshman in college, she struggles to understand and control her new ability, and ultimately finds herself in a deadly battle with a Satanic priest. Can her gift help her and her friends survive? Only one thing is certain, it’s going to be a very long and dark year.

Winter is the first of a four book series that follows the four years of Winter’s collegiate experience, while simultaneously revealing to us her four tumultuous high school years.   Newsome is currently working on the second installment. As the series progresses, new and exciting things happen in Winter’s life.  In the end, her faith and ability as a prophetess will rival that of Elijah.

Winter was a 2009 Marcher Lord Press Premise contest finalist, finishing in the top ten.  This contest was an “invitation only” contest where Winter competed against forty-nine other entries.

In a recent review, Columbus, MS resident Hope Hogan said, “Winter has captivated me in a way no other book has in a very long time. It is a riveting, page-turning journey of self-understanding and coming-to-grips with letting go and letting God work in and through the life of Winter Maessen.”

Keven Newsome is a Columbia, MS native and a Music Education graduate from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS.  He is currently pursuing a MA in Theology specializing in Christian Apologetics at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he lives with his wife and children.  To find out more about Keven and his book Winter or if you are interested in representing him for a mass-market release of Winter, you can find him at www.facebook.com/thewordcrafter.
