I realize I missed my post for last week, and I apologize. The internet at the inn where we were staying has really sloooow internet, which kept timing out before posting. But I’m back now!
If you’re a friend of mine on Facebook, you know that we had quite the un-stellar trip from Hawaii to Kentucky, which included a 7 hour stint in St. Louis waiting for my mother-in-love to come pick us up due to a misunderstanding between us and the car rental company. She had to drive four and a half hours to come pick us up–we didn’t get home until 3 in the morning. Yeah…
On the up side, I got to see my parents, whom I haven’t seen in 18 months(ish). It’s always such a joy to spend time with them.
Now we’re settling in to my MIL’s house. We’re merging our households–our routines, our schedules, and our stuff. We are so blessed by her generosity as we make this life-changing move.
The kids and I get on a routine, starting tomorrow, and will hopefully begin homeschool the following week. My husband is in the process of looking for a job now that he has everything he needs. We’re in the process of looking for a church and joining a homeschool group. It would be really great if I could find (or start) a writing group in this area. I know a couple of writers in the area.
The biggest upside to all this is that I can finally focus on my writing. It’s been on the wayside since the beginning of the year with all my husband’s doctor appointment, my own health issues, and just plain life. Seriously, though, it’s about time! I’m so excited! Inspired! And full of exclamation points!
I’ll be sharing some of that with you all in the coming weeks. We all share a piece of the journey!
